The ground scenes of Sky High are most likely set in the city of Maxville and its environs. Will Stronghold states that his parents are, “the top real estate agents in the metropolis of Maxville.” The downtown of Maxville is seen during the scene where the Commander and Jetstream battle the giant robot, and it does appear to be part of a large city, a metropolis. At the beginning of the opening credits Maxville is shown across water, suggesting that the city is either next to a lake or an ocean.
Maxville also has at least one television station, WXYY.
